Trip to Star Dome

Today the Senior classes went to Star Dome. We went there to learn about all the planets,sun,moon and all different stuff in the Universe.

We got to watch a Movie called "The World to the Universe".  

We also ate lunch.

I enjoyed going there to because we got to play on the park my favorite objects was the flying fox.

Our Long Monday

On Monday in the morning I woke up at 10:00 because I slept late and because I had to look after my baby brother.When I woke up I brushed my teeth and then washed my face then I saw my two young brothers  eating eggs and sausages.So I join them.Later on since I was the last person eating on the table I had to Wash the dishes, wiped the dishes ,sweep the floor ,clean the oven and wipe the table while my brothers were cleaning the sitting room and my Mum was cleaning her Room.My Dad was not there because he went to his work.

While we were cleaning my Grandparents and my sister came over because the came back to Auckland on Sunday because they were in Wellington for a visit.They came to help us move our things in the house because we are moving to a different house ,we filled the Van up 4 times to get some of our thing to the other house.When we finish my grandparents went home because we were filling the boxes up lot's of times and went back and forth to the house.

On Sunday we watched a Movie the Movie was called Monsters Inc I liked that movie because it is about a monster learning how to make people scared so they can scream which cause power for them and there city.When the movie was finish we went to bed.

Sunday Morning

On Sunday Morning we woke up at 9:00 and for Breakfast we had eggs and rice.Then we went to the shop to buy curtains for our new House we are moving into.When we were at the shops my Mum bought me,my sister and two little brother at Toy me and my sister got a Minion teddy bear and my little brother got a B max toy and my baby brother got a monkey toy.When we got there me,my mum and dad were putting the curtains up ,while my brother was looking after my baby brother,Later on we finish most of it and my Mum and Dad was happy.

Friday evening

Today on Friday in the Evening my little brother was watching T.V my other little brother was on his computer blogging.Me and My Mum went to go and clean the room because we were putting all our things in to a box because we were Moving to a different house.My Dad was sleeping and my big sister was in wellington with my grandpas family.

Western Springs

On Sunday in the morning we went to church and then after to my grandparents house to have breakfast and spend the day with them.  Later on my Aunty wanted to take my sister for a run and then she went.  I stayed and played on my sisters computer.  Then my Dad took me and my brother to the park, but when we were going my Aunty and my sister came back and my sister came with us to Western Springs.  When we were walking around near the Ducks my Grandpa came we took the Car and he walked, he was pretty fast.  Later on we played on the Park.  Then we went near the Zoo gates and we saw a elephant that arrived to the Zoo last week.

We saw a lot of eels and they were wiggling.

Then we went home had a shower and ate some food.

Dinner with Danny

In the evening Danny and his Mum and brother came over and while Danny's family was coming my Mum was getting our food ready for us to eat.When they got here we all ate dinner together we were eating Fried rice with chicken and some sausage with the Fried rice, it was really yum.

My Monday Afternoon

Today on Monday we went to drop off my Dad to his Job and My Sister Tauola slept over at my grandparents house. So it was only my Mum and my 2 Brothers. My Mum's Friend Naomi and her 2 Sons came over to our house so we can go for a walk to our new house. After we got there we went and have a look around but before it started to rain we were looking outside at our new house and then we stayed there for a little while but then we started to walk.We went under a tree because it was raining harder and then the water started to drop under the tree so we started walking. Then we made it home we had a shower and started to clean up the house.

My Outing on Saturday

On Sunny Saturday we went to drop our Dad off to his Job. We came home we had breakfast , we made scrambled eggs , rice and Bacon 

Next, Danny came over with his Mum and Brother to pick us up to go to the Glendowie Park when we went there we were playing Master at the Park with the Ball. The little Baby's went on the little Park to play .Me and my brother went for a break because it was so hot so we went on the swing while Danny and My Sister were still playing Master.

After the Park we went to the  Mac Donald's  and got 8 Ice Cream and 4 Frostys it was really yum on a really hot day. Then we went home , my Mum's friend asked if she can take My Brother and I with her ,my Mum said Yes'  but my big Sister had to stay with my little brother Tini .Then we went with my Mum's Friend Naomi , she treated us with Fish n chips..

After getting Fish n chips we went Pack'n Save and Naomi was buying us some treats.Then we went home and ate some fish n chips.After eating we watched T.V and a little while Fasi, Danny and Marcus went to go and Play outside they were playing Rugby

Finally we got to eat our treats and my Mum,Sister and Brother came to pick us up then we said Goodbye.We had a shower watched T.V and went to bed.

My Afternoon

In the afternoon Danny came over to visit, We were watching a movie called the Croods and we ate some chips after the movie the Big kids went on the computers and the baby's were playing and running in the hall way and everywhere they were screaming and Danny's little brother Marcus could not stop laughing it was so funny then they went home.

Friday 16 July 2015

On Friday the 16th of July, my Grandparents came over to visit us.  Everybody in the house were busy cleaning up. I cleaned the sitting room. Then I did the washing.  My Grandma helped me clean and my Grandpa helped my Dad mow the lawn outside.  The rest of the whanau continued to clean the house so that we could go out later.

My Mum made my Grandpa and Dad a Sandwich.  Later on during the day, my grandparents had to leave  and so we also left for the shops in Glen Innes. My Mum bought my brother and I some spring earphones and I also got a ring and some rubber bands. My other Brother Tini, got a truck as he loves playing with trucks and it is one of his favorite things to play with.

When we got home, we had a shower, ate some food, brushed our teeth and washed our faces and then went to Bed.

My Aunty's Birthday

On Friday the 10th of July my Sister, Mum and me made some potato salad for my Aunty Birthday. My Mum, Siblings had to arrive at the Birthday at 1:00 pm because we had to help my Aunty, make the cookies and Cake.  We drove there in a Van.  My Dad could not come because he was still at work.

When we arrived ,my other Aunty's and Uncle's had already been there awhile.  This party room she made up herself.  The her Dad made a BBQ and we all ate plus we had a little dance to the song called Watch me Whip now Watch me Nae nae, and other different types of songs.

Mum cooked the cookies and cake we ate some cookies, but left some.  When they came we went in the kitchen and all sang Happy Birthday blew out her candles then made a wish.  After we said the prayer we ate some BBQ it was delicious.

After we ate all our food and played Pass the Parcel it's a party game.  Later on we had desserts we had Ice cream, Gummy Bear, Pineapple Lumps and Whip Cream it was Fantastic.

Finally we finished everything and everybody was leaving . Some of the kids stayed behind my auntys cousins, my sister and I slept over.  We all watched movies and we enjoyed it , then we fell asleep at ten O clock.

Q Rabbits

Q Rabbits

Today on Sunday the 5th of July 2015 My Family and My Mum Family went to Q rabbits because it was our friends Birthday, her name is Amira, there were kind and Invited us there.  We went by Van .We were all excited so in the morning we tidy the house because the birthday started at 5:00. So we finished cleaning the house at 12:40 so we went to the Warehouse so we could find a Toy for her Present.

First we got at Q Rabbits and the man that worked at Q Rabbits he told me to put the present on the left shelf.Then he said you can take off your shoes and go play on the big kids Area it was fun because there was a long slide and I was so amazed so I screamed then I went to look for my sister.

Next I went on all of the obstacles and their was a Bouncy Castle, Long Slide, Shooting Area, The Swing and Many more they were so much fun and we were all sweaty so we all cooled down with a drink of Juice.

Later we sang Happy Birthday then her Parents were telling all there Children to go and wash your hands so that the parents can say a speech to everyone.Then Amira Aunty said a speech too and her Grandpa gave her a Money necklace.Then her Aunty said the prayer , then her Mum said help yourself then everybody was getting lots of food there was all kinds of food like KFC , Fried Rice , Pizza , Taro , Fruit barbs , Pork and Many more.

Then we all sat down and ate our food after we ate then we went to go play.It was $5 for the Adults to play the shooting game so my Mum did not have to pay because Amira Mum and Dad paid for everything so everybody had a great time playing at Q rabbit.

Finally we were playing and then the Man that works at Q Rabbits said to all the children that Q Rabbits was going to closed so everyone said goodbye then we went home but when we were having a Shower then My Mum Friends came with some Pizza.After we ate our party packs they had really fun toys in it then we said the prayer and went to Sleep.

The Show about The Emperor New Clothes

The Emperor’s New Clothes

On Saturday the 4th of July, My Mum, Dad,Sister and Brothers went to the ASB showgrounds in Greenlane. We went there at the 4:00 show and there was lots of  people there. We went there by Van.

First we went into the ASB showgrounds, we went to the upstairs so we can see a better view, there was this Man on Stage and he said hi to everyone (He was the Host).

Next the show started and everybody was cheering for those people that were taking part in the show.

Then the show started with two thieves and they were sick of being bad so they were deciding that they would try to be good people. They tricked the Emperor and stole some of the Emperor’s things like his Blanket.

The Emperor was very vain and was always dressing up in new clothes. His clothes were very expensive, he didn't care how he got the clothes he just wanted it. He had four mirrors to look at himself, he would say how beautiful he looked in his new clothes. Later there was some singing and Dancing from these little kids that were taking part in the show they were really good at dancing.

After we all had a 20 minute break so some people can buy there food for yourself or for their Family and My Mum went to buy some chips for us.

Finally the Emperors last new clothes made him look silly, because the thieves who pretended to be tailors made him clothes of nothing.  The people saw that the Emperor had no clothes on and soon the Emperor realized that he had no clothes.  At the end they sang a song that said it doesn't matter what you look like you are beautiful the way you are.

Malama Hounua

Malama Honua Event

On a hot sunny Wednesday Morning,Glenbrae school students walked to Pt. England beach to see the wakas Hourua Hokule’a and the Hikianalia that had come from Hawaii.  When we got there, we quickly settled down on the grass and waited first the crew to come a shore.

When the crew started coming to the shore in a small speed boat,  all the schools sang a waiata called E Oho and we kept on singing until everyone was on the shore.

Then the Kau matua welcomed all the crew to Pt. England with speech and then the children sang another waiata and did the haka.

Lastly, all the schools had to go down to the beach and hi 5 the Hawaiian crew.  Then we all got into our school lines and walked back to our schools.

Anti Bullying

Thursday 12th March 2015 

WALT: I am learning to write a Recount in Paragraphs. 

On Wednesday the 11th of March 2015 in the morning Room 10 and the year 7s in Room 9 had to lined up and walked to the School hall because we were having a  workshop about anti bullying with Petia Wilson and Leah Tuia. We were with Leah because Caroline was not here but we did not mind.

 We discussed about different cultures and the different types of cultures to which we belong, they are Samoans, Tongans, Maoris,Niueans, Africans and Cook Islanders. Then we went in to groups according to the cultures that we belong to. The Samoans in the corner and Tongans in the other corner and each culture was in a corner or in the middle.They gave us a paper one each for a group and we were asked to write about the greetings, language we speak, what important to us and so on.They told us to write it down and then we can do a dance or sing a song.The Tongan group sang a song, the Niuean did a song and were dancing at the same time,the Maori did a Pukana and Hongi and Last of all the Samoa’s did a samoan dance.

The only South African was Samuel but he spoke what he wrote on the paper, he was shy but I was happy because he was brave enough to stand up and speak. After all the Singing and Dancing Petia drew the picture of Hulk because he is a super hero. He played the music called “don’t forget your family and friends” it was very good. Petia was amazing because the picture he drew looked like the real Hulk.

After all ended we lined up and went back to class. It was very good and we all enjoyed by knowing our culture and also other cultures.
